Kelowna Mountaintop Elopement

Gah – how romantic is this mountaintop viewpoint for an elopement? It’s only a 7 minute hike to the top and the sweeping views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake are nothing short of spectacular. I wanted to do a shoot as a little love letter to elopements in Kelowna. With elopements, you can make the most of the best light of the day during sunrise and, in this case, golden hour and sunset. It doesn’t get much more romantic than saying your personal vows to each other at sunset. I’m grateful to these two cuties for doing this shoot with me! It was so fun photographing them having a little adventure, exploring this gorgeous spot together. You might recognize Kayla from her amazing wedding cake business, Cake for Breakfast. She makes the best cakes and they’re so dang purdy! You’ll see the awesome cake below that she made for this shoot. I wanted to showcase the playfulness and freedom to do whatever you want that comes with an elopement by bringing a cake with us. Like, why NOT take your cake on a mountaintop to enjoy!? 😉 PS I tasted this cake and it was so yummy.
