The Best Wedding Venues in the Okanagan
I’ve been photographing weddings in Kelowna and the Okanagan for over 15 years and I thought it was long overdue that I share my list of the best wedding venues in the Okanagan. Making this list brought back so many memories of amazing weddings in the past and got me excited for the ones I have, coming up!
I’ve done my best to spotlight the highlights of each venue, and let you know how many guests each venue accommodates so you have the info whether you’re planning a big or small wedding.
For small, intimate weddings, some venues only book weekday dates and some winery venues only book certain months of the year so make sure to reach out to your favourite options to get more info and decide which is best for you.
Note: The venues are listed in random order. If it’s on the list, it’s because I think it’s a fantastic wedding venue, regardless of which order it appears!
I’ve done my best to spotlight the highlights of each venue and you how many guests each venue accommodates so you have the info whether you’re planning and big or small wedding.
For more small, intimate weddings, some venues only book weekday dates and some winery venues only book certain months or the year so make sure to reach out to your favourite options to get more info and decide which is best for you.

Which area of the Okanagan is best to have your wedding in?
Each area of the Okanagan is gorgeous in its own way and in my opinion, you could blindly throw a rock on a map and you’d be happy to go where it lands. Here are a few discerning details of each area:
Central Okanagan:
Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country & Peachland
With a population of 142,146, Kelowna is the biggest city on Okanagan Lake and BC’s third largest metropolitan area. It is also super central city in the Okanagan, making it a fantastic place to explore the Okanagan from. If you’re staying in the Kelowna with your guests for a few days or a week, there are heaps of great restaurants downtown near lake and lots of activities to keep you busy during the day.
SOUTH OKANAGAN:
Penticton, Summerland, Naramata, Okanagan Falls, Oliver & Osoyoos
Although Central Okanagan has heaps of wineries, I’d say South Okanagan has even more! The Naramata Bench is practically all wineries, cideries, distilleries and more. Oliver has heaps of wineries as well. Penticton is right between Okanagan lake and Skaha Lake.
NORTH OKANAGAN:
Vernon, Coldstream, Enderby & Armstrong
The North Okanagan is full of beautiful farmland and great nature activities. One of my favourite things about the North Okanagan is the rail trail bike path along Kalamalka Lake. The lake is unique in that it’s waters appear emerald in most lights!
When Is the best time of year to get married in Kelowna?
Personally, my favourite months for weddings are May, June September and October.
In the Spring, everything is green and there are lots of flowers and blossoms. If you’re having a winery wedding, the vines really start to be filled in towards the end of May generally. It’s often still quite warm or hot depending on the year. I love that the sun sets super late this time of year and into the summer which, as a photographer, is great for outdoor receptions.
Summer is the popular option for those who want to soak up the sun and dry heat that you get in the Okanagan Valley. If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, you have the best odds of dry weather.
In Fall, there is a great energy in the air with wineries harvesting their grapes and the vines slowly turning golden. It’s usually still nice temperatures and I love that the sun sets earlier as you can get the look of sunset photos much earlier! The flip side of that is if you’re having an outdoor reception, you’ll have less daylight.
In regards to day of the week, Saturday is of course the most popular but some venues offer deals for weddings on other days of the week. If you’re having a micro wedding, some venues will only host your wedding outside of Saturdays. If you and most of your guests are planning to come to the Okanagan for a week anyways, you might save a bit of money, choosing a weekday date.

Oak Estate Winery, Summerland, BC
I’ve shot weddings at Oak Estate Winery several times and every time I have to pick my jaw up off the floor look at the views from here! The ceremony site is situated on a gorgeous bluff with 180 degree views down Okanagan Lake with some of my favourite portrait backdrops right next to this area.
Dinners are served on an big open-air balcony overlooking the vineyards and view. You then get to move inside to the super cool barrel room for dancing later! There is as a lovely bridal suite to get ready in as well as the option to rent Oak Estate’s epic villa on site to stay in.
Oak Estate Winery has package options for elopements, and intimate micro wedding options for up to 20 people, with the capacity to host up to 120 people for bigger weddings.

Cedar Creek Winery, Kelowna, BC
After a super lovely drive through the Mission area of Kelowna and plenty of lake views, you’ll arrive at the beautiful Cedar Creek Winery. Cedar Creek Winery has a fanTAStic covered ceremony area with lake views behind and several fantastic options for your reception.
For intimate weddings and micro-weddings, they have a private dining room inside of the Home Block restaurant (the food is unreal!!) that can accommodate up to 10 guests, their Aspect Lakeview room which has room up to 22 guests. For bigger weddings, you can host your reception in the open-air Pavilion (up to 60 guests seated or 100 standing) or 60-100 guests can be accommodated inside Home Block Restaurant.

Summerhill Pyramid Winery, Kelowna, BC
I always look forward to photographing weddings at Summerhill Pyramid Winery. There are lots of nice, shady spots to do portraits on hot days if your wedding is in the summer, as well as a vineyard that lines up perfectly for sunset photos. I love to sneak couples out for 15-20 minutes during reception when there is a beautiful golden hour happening. Also, the food is always delicious and the atmosphere and view at this organic winery is always relaxed and effortless.
Summerhill has multiple fantastic event space options with different capacities to host a wide array of group sizes. Their Vineyard Lawn can host 250, the Vineyard Ballroom can host 170 (seated) or 200 (standing) and their bistro can be rented out and hold up to 200. They have options for smaller weddings on their Heritage Lawn which seats 80 and they offer the back half of the bistro for groups of approximately 40 people. There is another venue that most are unaware of, which is their Estate House (right out of the 70’s!) that can host 80 people, with a 2-night stay rental. Last but not least, the Pyramid – which is a super unique, special setting with a really romantic ambiance. The pyramid holds 75 for a seated ceremony.

Eldorado Resort, Kelowna, BC
Eldorado Resort is one of the rare venues in the Okanagan that allows you to have your guests stay right on the property AND has beautiful rental spaces and lakeside positioning. Eldorado Resort is made up of two hotels connected by a lakeside boardwalk. The two hotels at Eldorado Resort have 155 guest rooms and suites between them.
First up, Hotel Eldorado is a boutique hotel in Kelowna dating back to 1926. Hotel Eldorado has the only lakeside private rooftop ceremony site in Kelowna and offers elegant event spaces with a vintage feel. Hotel Eldorado can host up to 150 seated guests for ceremony and reception. I love the rooms at Hotel Eldorado for getting ready shots as well!
Next door, Manteo at Eldorado Resort is larger, more modern and can accommodate up to 180 seated guests (75 guest minimum) for ceremonies and receptions.

Laurel Packinghouse, Kelowna, BC
I always feel transported to a cool heritage building in New York City when I’m inside the Laurel Packinghouse. Its brick walls and high ceilings with wooden beams dating back to 1917 give it so much character and ambiance. Then add the obvious perk of being right downtown and walking distance to lots of accommodation and it ticks off so many boxes! Some people have their ceremony and reception at the Laurel Packinghouse and some people have their ceremony at another spot (like a winery venue) followed by their reception at the Laurel Packinghouse. I love all the different ceremony combos you can create this way!
Laurel Packinghouse can host up to 250 guests for a sit-down dinner event and up to 300 for a standing event. There is 5000 square feet of open space with plenty of room for dancing.

Quail’s Gate Winery, West Kelowna, BC
There are so many amazing options at Quail’s Gate Winery and all of them so unique and special! Their Harvest Gathering Site can host of to 120 guests for ceremonies and has stunning views of their winery and Okanagan Lake. They also have a vineyard spot for a max of 36 people.
For your reception or dinner, they have a private wine library room you can rent for up to 14 guests, and a family room option with up to 36 guests. Quail’s Gate also has a beautiful Lake House you can rent and have your ceremony right there! It’s rare you have so many fantastic options for an intimate weddings at one venue!

God’s Mountain Estate, Penticton, BC
If you want to feel transported to a villa on the Mediterranean, God’s Mountain fits the bill! If I could, I would move in and live here! Haha. The interior of the house has so much character and antique pieces. Sometimes I get the urge to pull a book on a shelf to see if it opens a secret passageway. Then you walk outdoors and are greeted with incredible views and tranquil seating areas to relax and enjoy these special, relaxing grounds. God’s Mountain Estate is not a winery but it might as well be, as it’s surrounded by vineyard!
God’s Mountain Estate hosts up to 45 guests so it’s a perfect option for small intimate weddings. Get in touch with them and they will tailor something to fit your day!

Poplar Grove Winery, Penticton, BC
Positioned at the North East slopes of Penticton, Poplar Grove sits in a position that gives it spectacular views of Penticton and the Naramata Bench, as well as Summerland and it’s unique surrounding mountains. The sunset is something to experience at this venue and an amazing spot to slip outside for sunset portraits with your partner after dinner.
Poplar Grove hosts small weddings for 30-60 people in their partial venue option or up to 140 people for their full venue option.

Covert Farms, Oliver, BC
It’s so magical getting dropped off in the middle of 650 acres of vineyard for ceremony with only vines and mountains in site. A super cute truck takes you and your wedding party to beautiful spots around the property for portraits which is such a fun treat. This is a venue you do NOT want to miss cocktail hour for as it has the most epic assortment of lawn games and activities to do. Also, when else do you get to pet an adorable pig at your wedding?
Covert Farms can accommodate up to 150 people in their outdoor timber log barn or up to 36 people inside their wine lounge. They do limited wedding bookings so don’t wait to reach out about availability and get more info!

50th Parallel Estate, Lake Country, BC
50th Parallel Estate is set in the heart of Okanagan Wine Country an a 61-acre site with fantastic panoramic lake and vineyard views. Their modern one-of-a-kind cantilever building which houses the Block One restaurant and event spaces has won international design awards for architecture.
50th Parallel Estate offers several spaces for large and small weddings on their property. The Infinity Event Pad, Winery Tank Hall, Crush Pad, Event Centre, and Gravity Lounge.

Get married in front of an 80-year old plum tree, with vineyard sweeping out to epic views beside you at Little Engine Wines in Naramata. I love their touches of having lovely wood bistro chairs and wooden harvest tables included in their packages for wedding clients. Little Engine Wines is brimming with rustic charm that has a refined, classy feel.
Little Engine Wines has a lake view patio that can seat up to 120 people. They also have a ceremony-only options for 80 guests or less.

Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards, Summerland, BC
I love the tagline on Fitzpatrick Family vineyard’s website, “Make our place, your place.” This family venue has such a welcoming feel with beautiful modern touches and design. It’s set a bit away from other properties, making it super private and special. They have a beautiful glass cover for their patio which gives you greenhouse vibes and peace of mind in case it rains.

Harvest Golf Club, Kelowna, BC
Located next to a pond and surrounded by fruit trees, flowers and beautiful views, the Harvest Golf Club is a classic and timelines wedding venue in Kelowna, BC. The property is beautifully landscaped which serves as an awesome ceremony backdrop behind their wedding arbour.
The Harvest has seating for up to 160 guests in its charming and beautiful dining room. It’s a full wedding venue and only books ceremonies and reception as a combo. I love that there are great photo backdrop options right on site. The way the sunset reflects in the pond, that the dining room overlooks, is so gorgeous.

See Ya Later Ranch, Okanagan Falls, BC
This picturesque 170-acre ranch in Okanagan Falls has super cool options, including having your reception in front of one of two super cute barns on the property. They also have a lovely bridal suite clients to use.
See Ya Later Ranch has Monday to Thursday options for weddings of 2-50 people, or 50-120 guests Friday to Sunday. You can host just your ceremony here or have your reception here as well with dinner included in the packages.

Lang Vineyards, Naramata, BC
Lang Vineyards boasts stunning views from Peachland to Skaha Lake. It has a large grass pad set among the vines for ceremonies and tented receptions. There is also a beautiful 3600 square foot building with large accordion doors that open up to a fantastic patio. Another option that they have is a deck space that can be used for smaller ceremonies.
Lang Vineyards hosts up to 125 wedding guests and their fee includes planning by Centrepiece Weddings. You also have use of a newly-renovated home on site to get ready and for cocktail hour.

Liquidity Winery, Okanagan Falls, BC
Sweeping vineyards backed by beeeauuutiful rolling hills makes for breathtaking views at your wedding at Liquidity Wines. I love the modern architectural design beautifully offset by the surrounding nature.
For small micro weddings (and accommodation), there is a beautiful, 2 bedroom private loft suite available to rent where you can have event bookings up to 12 guests. There is also a lounge that fits up to 30 guests and rooftop deck that can host up to 50 people.
If you’re wanting to invite a few more guests, Liquidity Wines can host more people on their Vaseux Patio (80 people standing or 60 dining). The loft suite is beautiful for getting ready photos or indoor portraits. Just a heads up the Loft and rooftop spaces are not wheelchair accessible.

Three Sisters Winery, Penticton, BC
Three Sisters Winery has beautiful winery and mountain views around it with a wonderfully relaxed vibe that I love. They have a large cement pad for receptions next to their vines and easily accessible from their parking lot. Three Sister’s Winery converts its beautiful tasting room to a bar for weddings and also has a cute bar window option that can be accessed from the outside. Their ceremony site has their vineyard and mountains in the background.
Three Sisters Winery is able to host 30 people indoors, and up to 250 outdoors as a full-venue hire. The full-venue hire requires a tent rental provided by the guests, as well as toilet facility rentals if the guest count exceeds 100 people. As it is an outdoor facility, wedding rentals are only from May to September but they are open to hosting weddings on any day of the week.

The view of rolling vineyard hills from Origin Wines is so dang pretty. I love that they have a super cute day-of suite rental right on the property that can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests!
Origin wines is able to host up to 150 guests and also has options for intimate micro weddings as well.

Bench 1775 is another Naramata winery with outstanding views that is great for weddings! Their ceremony site overlooks Okanagan Lake and they have a couple of different options for receptions. Get in touch for more info!

I mean how could I NOT include this beautiful 23-acre orchard venue in Naramata!? Creek and Gully does full and partial bookouts. Meaning you can book their amazing lake view lawn and patio, or the whole property! This means you can dine or dance in the beauty of the cidery production facility right next to the tanks!
Creek and Gully’s max wedding booking is for 200 people, but it’s a fantastic options for smaller weddings too. They even host micro-weddings!

The Vibrant Vine Winery, Kelowna, BC
Perched on a hill, overlooking vineyards orchards in East Kelowna, the ceremony site at The Vibrant Vine Winery is so dreamy. Our smallest wedding venue is our Lakeview Room & Terrace area. If it is just the Lakeview room, the maximum capacity is 60 people. The terrace bumps up that capacity to 90. While these are much larger than the micro-wedding size you’re referring to, we definitely offer these spaces for the more intimate weddings as well.
The Vibrant Vine Winery has three great spaces to offer for weddings. They host weddings of all sizes, up to 150 people; either just for ceremony or reception or for both combined. The Lakeview room has a maximum capacity of 60 people. The terrace bumps that up to a capacity of 90 people. For larger weddings, they have their Okanagan Villa Estate option for a maximum of 150 guests.

I’m a sucker for an awesome barn venue. For the longest time, the Okanagan didn’t have any so I was SO thrilled when this venue popped up. Have your reception in an adorable, rustic barn with your first dance right out front of it! They also have an awesome inventory of lawn games for you to enjoy with guests which adds so much to cocktail hour and post dinner hangs!
Barn Up the Hill can accommodate up to 100 guests for ceremony, and a stand-up or seated reception. They also have a micro wedding option for up to 25 guests to host your ceremony with social time after (don’t worry, you still get to play lawn games!).

For weddings at the charming and picturesque Blue Bee Orchard, the private event area includes access to the wine cellar, the cherry orchard, and the bluff up through the cherry orchard. Sighhh, so romantic. I’m obsesssed with the whimsical Pierre Wine Cellar that is built into a hill on the Blue Bee Orchard Property. The orchard is home to La Petite Abeille cidery which sits next to the event area.
Blue Bee Orchard is perfect for intimate weddings. Perfect for weddings up to 60 guests and welcome receptions (standing room) up to 100 guests Complete property buyouts including the cidery area are possible as well and considered on a case-by-case basis.
